Eclipse Residence

Overlooking Fort Loudon Lake on a steeply-sloping south-facing site, the Lakefront House uses steel frames and expansive glass to admit sweeping views and winter solar heating. The steel structure is used strategically along the south side of an otherwise conventionally framed house and allow all of the interior and exterior living spaces to take advantage of this amenity. The long sloping roof permits the bedrooms and service spaces of the house to step up with the site topography, overlooking the living spaces.
